Marching in Ministry

March gives us some great opportunities to serve. Youth Sunday is on Sunday, March 11 (set your clocks ahead 1 hour). This special Sunday allows our students to serve other members of our congregation by sharing truths that they are personally discovering while engaging participants in worship.

We will also have the opportunity to prepare and serve an appreciation lunch for everyone after our Morning Worship Service. We will be honoring Harold and Mary Ann Durham, two amazing Youth Workers that have used their talents in culinary arts to support our youth ministry through many delicious dinners. They will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

There is also a special weekend for all youth from our region to join us for service projects on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday afternoon on March 25. Be sure to include these dates in your agenda because they are ways that you can express your love for God and others.

March is also a great time to learn more about the work of missionaries. Marching for Missions campaign gives us a special time to focus on other servants of God around the world. Please remember them with prayers and financial support. You can learn more about Church of God Missions at http://www.lhicog.com/index.php, Lord’s Harvest International Facebook page, and by going to the first week of March FUEL Bible Reading Blog. https://grow16biblereading.wordpress.com/2018/03/

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
